01Summary
Tacet has no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number. To process a swap we do need to store details about the order itself, and we keep them so that refunds and disputes can be resolved. This page explains exactly what that means.
02What we store for each order
The asset pair and amounts; the deposit address generated for the order; your destination and refund addresses and any destination tags; transaction IDs for deposits, payouts and refunds; the internal settlement address used for the order; timestamps; and an operational log of each step the order went through.
03Why we store it
To execute your swap, show its progress, refund it if something goes wrong, resolve holds and disputes, and meet legal obligations that may apply to us.
04How long we keep it
30 days after an order is finished, we automatically delete its destination and refund addresses, destination tags, deposit address and every transaction ID. We keep the order ID, asset pair, amounts, timestamps and status for accounting and statistics. Orders that are on hold or still in progress are kept until they're resolved, then follow the same rule.
Our audit log never stores addresses in plain form: it keeps a keyed one-way hash so we can tell whether two records refer to the same address without being able to read it back.
05Who else sees order data
Your swap is executed through third-party liquidity venues. The first venue sees your deposit and the source wallet it came from; the second sees your payout address. These venues hold the accounts Tacet trades through, know the volumes Tacet routes, and may share information with authorities under their own policies. Tacet does not sell or share order data with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
06Network and browser data
Our hosting and any reverse proxy in front of this site may record IP addresses, request times and user agents in access logs. We don't use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
This site stores the IDs of your recent orders in your browser's local storage so you can find them again. That data never leaves your device unless you open the order, and you can clear it from the Track page.
To show quotes, our server — not your browser — fetches public prices from liquidity venues.
07Your choices
Anyone with an order ID can view that order's status, so treat it like a password.
