Terms of Service
01About these terms
These terms apply when you use Tacet to request a swap. By creating an order you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
This deployment runs on a test network with simulated liquidity. Tokens on this network have no value and no real funds are moved.
02What Tacet does
Tacet arranges a swap on your behalf: it receives your deposit at a first liquidity venue, converts it, moves the value through a private settlement layer it operates to a second, independent liquidity venue, converts it to the asset you chose and pays it to your destination address. While your order is in progress, Tacet controls the funds.
03Quotes and execution
Quotes are estimates based on public order books at the time you request them. Trades execute at market prices when funds reach each liquidity venue, which can be hours later. The amount you receive may differ from the estimate.
Tacet charges a 1% protocol fee, shown with all other costs before you confirm.
04Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing correct destination and refund addresses, sending the exact asset on the network shown, and including any required destination tag. Funds sent to the wrong address, on the wrong network or in the wrong asset may be unrecoverable.
You confirm that the funds you send are lawfully yours and that using Tacet is legal where you are. You must not use Tacet for money laundering, sanctions evasion, fraud or any other illegal purpose.
05Refunds and holds
If a swap can't complete, Tacet returns your deposit in the original asset to your refund address, minus network fees and any spread already incurred. When funds are mid-route, the order may be held for manual review before it is completed or refunded. Deposits that arrive after the deposit window are refunded.
06Third parties
The route depends on third-party liquidity venues and public blockchain networks. These parties operate independently and apply their own rules, including compliance checks that can delay or freeze funds. Tacet is not responsible for their actions, outages or decisions, but will keep you informed through the order page.
07Regulatory status
Tacet is a new service. It is not currently licensed or registered as a virtual asset service provider in any jurisdiction. We may refuse, pause or hold any order where we reasonably believe that is required by law or to prevent harm.
08No warranty and limitation of liability
Tacet is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Tacet's liability for any order is limited to the amount you deposited for that order, and Tacet is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, market movements, or the acts of third parties.
09Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to an order is the one published when the order was created.
